No 80 GB PS3 Or Price Cut In PAL Territories
PS3

We can't confirm it yet...but...the anticipated price cut and the 80GB version of the PS3 will not reach PAL territory's. Instead Sony has announced the introduction of a Starter Pack for Playstation 3, comprising a PS3, two games and two Sixaxis Wireless Controllers.
The games in the starter pack will vary depending on what PAL area you are in. Resistance: Fall of Man and MotorStorm seem to be the likely games to be bundled as they can illustrate the power the PS3 and high definition entertainment of Blu-ray discs and movies.
With two Sixaxis Wireless Controllers included, the Starter Pack is perfect for those seeking multiplayer entertainment, and brings the excitement of PS3 to a much wider audience.
The Starter Pack will roll out across PAL territories from 13 July, and will be available in all territories from 1 August.
In some respect this is better than a $170 price cut, as the games and extra Sixaxis controller work out to approximately $270.
