October Launch For Wii?
Wii
14th July 2006, 8:45pm

Chris Morris, of CNN Money, has suggested that industry insiders are expecting a Wii launch in October, or possibly even September. Morris pointed to analyst P.J. McNealy's suggestion that Wii production is already underway, and also to Nintendo's history of releasing consoles before November.
While Shigeru Miyamoto recently hinted that the design of the Wiimote wasn't yet final, it seems smart that they would start production promptly in order to ensure they can meet demand (unlike the launch of the Xbox 360).
Morris's insiders remained anonymous by request.
