Codemasters is planning on adding some new features to the standard RTS formula with their upcoming release of Perimeter for PC. One of the key features will be the ability to terraform the area around your base by modifying the underlying landscape to provide strategic advantage. Your base will also be equipable via a large shield, taking the emphasis off protecting your base, and putting the emphasis more on strategic deployment of your forces. The game makes strong use of the Nanotechnology of the future, allowing your units to be changed or adapted at will to suit current requirements.

The game will contain 30 scenario (single player) maps, 5 multiplayer maps, and 3 different factions. Perimeter will support 1-4 players via network or online play.
