Gamestop Canada has entered in their system the price of the Playstation Move controller at $CAD59.99. That is Canadian dollars for those not in the know. On direct conversion that comes to $AUD65. While we tend to pay a bit of a premium for any console software or hardware, expect it to come in well under $AUD100 when released later in the year.

Yeah, I'd agree with that. They might try for 80 to get people in, or package it with something at 99, but... you're probably right.

That's how it works. It's a backwards Wii remote - instead of the remote looking for IR on your TV, the camera on your TV looks for the orb on your remote.

Sony realised they couldn't compete with MS, so they just made a gag unit. I'm telling you, the whole things an extremely delayed April Fools stunt!

It is a bit of silly looking gadget, but I can't help but be a little curious to see just how good the final results are. After the Wii remote, surely the technology can only get better. The extra processing power will surely help. I'm going with a price of $89.95 over here. I have feeling that Gamestop were just making a guess for pre-order purposes though.

Why I hate A Current Affair - number 382:

I saw an add for their show this week which read "ACAs *exclusive* look into the next generation of gaming" - it was pretty much a rundown on Move, in what way is 6month old news exclusive?

It's going to have to offer a helluva lot for me to get interested. I feel slightly burned by the Wii due to its controls which have so far failed to live up to their hype imo. I just don't think these sorts of motion controls are ever going to penetrate traditional genres effectively enough to justify getting rid of traditional controllers, but they are decent fun for casual 'party' type games.

Well, for what it's worth, the Motion Plus is actually pretty good. It's pretty much what I expected from the Wii at launch, it has great potential, but is it well supported? Hell no. Optional hardware just doesn't seem to work out, Nintendo have seen this twice this gen with the Balance Board and Motion Plus. They're good ideas, but nobody supports them, so they die. While I think the Move has the potential to be even better than Motion Plus, unfortunately I can't help but feel that it's going to end up the same way. Prove me wrong though, Sony. At least the Move has already got a fair bit of support from developers, but we'll see what it amounts to.

Haven't really seen any games I'm interested in on move yet. Their tech demos were pretty lame.

Motion Plus is really nice - Sports Resort was a very pleasant surprise when I got it and a lot of fun, but not for long. Red Steel 2 doesn't really appeal to me... funnily enough because I really enjoyed the first one - which they entirely scrapped. The balance board also had some nice games, the Shaun White snowboarding ones were pretty good but not enough to make me buy them. So, it sits unused.

If Zelda has motion plus, and I'm pretty sure they've come out and said it, I'll be plugging it in ASAP. I wish it carried over to all games (I'm realistic, all games since it's release), not necessarily the waggle but the pointing. The fact you can point off screen without any interruption is a blessing, and something that a lot of recent games don't take advantage of. Endless Ocean 2, looking at you.
