Rare has confirmed at the GDC that it's quirky Viva Piñata series will receive more games in the near future.
Speaking to GamesIndustry.biz, Rare's Lee Schuneman stated that they plan to continue the series for at least two to three more years, as well as adding that "We're pleased with the overall support that it's got and there's more to come within that franchise".
This comes despite the fact that although critically successful, the game has not managed to perform well in the retail sector.
"If the sales were there to match that we'd be over the moon, but they're not. Although that doesn't mean we don't believe in the franchise."
