In Resident Evil 4's debut month 319 000 copies were sold. In America. If you add in Japan's sales, then already the game has broken the 500 000+ mark, which is very impressive. It was also the highest selling game of the period, beating the likes of GTA:SA and Halo 2. Considering these great sales in just a one month period, it appears as if it will be destined to be a big seller for the system (but perhaps only until 2006).
