Rumour: World of Warcraft Second Expansion On The Way
PC

So you've leveled to 70, you've been to Tempest Keep and have your eye on The Black Temple awaiting its opening, but did you know that a second expansion is already well into development?
World of Warcraft: The Emerald Dream is the rumoured expansion that will be out next year. With an increased level cap of 80, gamers will be able to enjoy a whole new continent larger than the size of Kalimdor, with many new monsters, and many familiar ones too.
Lord Xavius, Ysera and Queen Azshara are all well known characters from Warcraft lore that gamers should expect to see in this expansion.
So far, it seems you will be able to go to The Emerald Dream via one of the four gateways around Azeroth, but there's very little if any information on this.
The best quote we could find for you is a quote from Blizzard's community manager Nethaera. He stated back in September 2006, "The Emerald Dream opens up a lot of different opportunities and the Burning Crusade is definitely not going to be the last of the expansion packs. There are many different places and story-lines that can be pursued. The story is going to keep growing and as it does so, people will get to experience it."
We'll keep you posted.
