Consoles, cartridges, discs, and tapes gather dust in lofts. Crucial prototypes get thrown away when studios go bust, rare versions of classic games are lost forever. Every day, we lose another little bit of our history. That's where the Save the Videogame campaign comes in. They've set up a videogame archive and will be collecting the rarest games to make sure that future generations will be able to see them.

So much of the early film, television and music industries has been lost forever, and it would be a crime in this day and age for the same to happen to the fledgling gaming industry. So head on over to their website, sign up to receive updates on the National Videogame Archive, and get a free Save the Videogame button!

Good idea, but I'm hanging onto my original Warcraft / C&C / Crusader etc - I keep em in good nick, and they have sentimental value also.

I think you can get something, they were just making fun at Americans for not understanding the international language.
