Say Hello To The New Xbox Dashboard On December 6th
Xbox 360

They've done it before, and they're doing it again. On December 6th, Microsoft will be releasing a brand new dashboard for the Xbox 360 via system update. The system will take advantage of Kinect so you can gesture and speak your way to just about every function of the console. We're that little bit closer to that time when we can speak at our house and our house will do things for us.
Plus, the system will get new integrated apps for TV, film, music and sports, though these will vary by region. It wouldn't seem too unlikely, for instance, that we'll get an ABC iView app - especially given the PS3 already has one. And on a cool note for gamers, your game saves and LIVE profile will now be stored in the cloud, and Beacons (an easier way to see what your friends are doing) and Facebook Sharing made the cut too.
Save up your download quota for the start of December, because this all sounds pretty rad. Pics below.

yeah, looks like it will finally be using Kinect properly.. which will put it ahead of the other consoles for a while I think.

It's neat functionality, but a lot of us don't have Kinect yet.
The Xbox Live being on cloud is cool.
I say this because back in the day, my friends and I used to play a lot of split screen, and still do really, and it was such a pain to get your profile on to their xbox. It basically involved signing in on their console, but it would take 15 minutes+ on theirs, and then once you got home another 15+ on your own console. It screwed up quite often too. So eventually we all ended having profiles all over each others houses, with varying progess etc, and it makes it all a pain. Games like CoD deal with it by giving the guest their own set up, but based off the gear that the owner of the console have. It sort of works, but it sort of doesn't, as they can't unlock new stuff as the owner does.
So, yeah, the guest profile is a good idea, but if you could instantly download your profile on to another console - that would be rad. I'm not sure if that's what they're implying though. You'd think it would be a step up from their current setup in that regard.
