SCi Announces Midway

SCi Games have announced Midway currently the working title name. Midway is a new tactical multi-player game that will be released in 2005. The game primarily focuses on the naval and areial battles of WWII, looking at the Battle of Midway, where the US Naval and Airforces were outnumbered and took on the might the Imperial Japanese Navy what is thought of the most powerful naval force in modern history.

The game will try to accurately reflect the atmoshpere and situation of the Pacific during 1942. Players will control battleships, aircraft carriers, submarines and planes in a free-control environment. You will be able to switch between any of the units under your control seamlessly. Engage in dogfights, under take attacks by submarine launching torpedoes, and unleash the firepower aboard the carrier group.

Game modes will include single player campaigns for both sides, career missions focusing on specific units, and multiplayer made for up to 16 players, Expect it to be available in 2005.
