Sega's VP of Marketing, Scott Steinberg, spoke with GameDaily Biz about their plans for the next generation. As we all assumed, he announced that Sega would support all three next-gen systems with a Sonic title on each. The Wii version is planned for March 2007. He also pointed to the launch of Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz with the system as proof of their claims.

He was asked about the advantages and disadvantages of each platform, to which Steinberg replied that their development on Wii is a radical departure from the Gamecube, since it 'has such a unique architecture to it that we mentally really have to think differently.'. He did add, though, that it's the most affordable to develop on because it's 'it's much more analogous to the GameCube.'

On the topic of PS3 pricing, he said that the US$600 price point is what he expected, and is good value. It's clear Sega is staying very neutral and fair to all consoles. It's worth noting that he confirmed there would be brand new IPs for each system.
