Activision has just sent us an awesome trailer for Raven Software's new sci-fi shooter, Singularity. You have to check it out. It appears that you're constantly flitting between the past and the present, trying to prevent the future from happening by changing events in the past. You can use time as a weapon, aging the environment to injure enemies, and even age people until they crumble into dust. Just check out the trailer.

Unfortunately I'm capped and can't download the movie - but from Marvin's discription this title seems oddly similar to Timeshift & PoP (with a different setting ofcourse).
I think the "oh noes! The future is bads, we needs to go backs and fix its" bit has been done to death - so unless this game has something epic like a singularity gun ala Quake 4, I'll be passing ty.

Yeah doesn't look amazing. Somewhat cool concept, one I've thought of myself many times. If it is visually spectacular in the way it handles these switches and the shooting is still good it will be alright.
I think developers think that they probably can't top Infinity Ward or the other top ones at the moment so they'll add some gimmick to try and make theirs seem new exciting. See Fracture, Bad Company, Singularity, Haze, etc. Haze was still shit though. Never played Bad Company but I kinda want to. Or did when it came out.
