World of Diablo? Diablo 3? Just a simple Will of the Lich King announcement? A Open Beta test perhaps? Nobody knows for sure, but Blizzard are well known for their practical jokes. As the picture slowly opens up on WorldofWarcraft.com, it's slowly revealing an open space. Could this fill the void? Blizzard are known for their jokes.

We'll be announcing whatever it may be as soon as it hits right here at Sliced, so keep checking back each day. Chances are it will be revealed at Blizzard's Invitational event which is due to start in a little over a day.

I've got no idea about that either but my money is still on what I originally hoped it might be. It could  turn out to be more than just one announcement on the day as others are guessing so I suppose we'll just have to wait and see.

ps For some reason whenever I've tried to click on the world of warcraft link at the top of this thread I couldn't access the page but todays splash will probably be the last one that I'll link seeing as though there's not long to go now.

Ah yeah when he puts the helmet on it looks like the inside of latest splash. That scene is when he merges with the Lich King, but I'm sure you already know that Dash. I recently played through WC3 and Frozen Throne again =)

That I did,but there was also something else that caught my eye and that was the view above the frozen throne itself(around 0:27) and the way that big chunks of ice are starting to all fall down around as Arthas starts his walk up to the top.

Used to have them as well but I can't remember where they ended up.Never got around to playing them unfortunately but I do enjoy doing a lot of reading about the lore behind it all.

Eh- my money is on WotLK RP work - like I said a while ago, bliz will be whipping their PR team to get everyone siked about the new expansion after the last one bombed majorly.

Still have a copy of the original Diablo somewhere around the place but I've never really been a big fan of point & click games myself so I never played it but Rendar was a big fan. Baldur's Gate is probably the only one that I've ever played but I kind of got a little bit bored with the game style after a while.

It's not too late, grab yourself a copy.

They have the whole Diablo Battlechest at EB for less than $50. Gets you D1, 2 and the expansion for it. I've been thinking of getting it, but I'm not buying any new games until my new PC is built.

I was too cause I lost my discs when we moved.

Sounds good. If EB have it for under $50 should be able to get it somewhere for $30..

That's with the half off sale thing they have at the moment. Normally retails for $80-$90.

I've seen Diablo II on sale for $10... surely you can get all three easily for less than $50.

One of the big rumours at the end of the original Diablo was that there was a secret cow level.

There wasn't. It was just a rumour started by some kid.

Then Diablo II comes out and suddenly there's a secret cow level! Blizzard are funny like that.
