Some Revolution Specs Revealed
Wii

There is also apparently 512MB of flash memory, though developers were unsure just how much they'd be able to use at any one time. The graphic processing unit, code-named Hollywood, also has around 3MB of storage. Processing speeds are apparently 1.5 to 2 times the max speed of the Gamecube - both CPU and GPU.
The Revolution's discs have 4.7GB of storage if single-layered, or 8.5GB if dual-layered. In comparison, the Gamecube discs had 1.5GB, so there are certainly no space issues there.
Frankly, this is the final confirmation that the Revolution won't be partaking in the race for the best graphics. You shouldn't be surprised by the figures, but if you were honestly expecting to be blown away, you don't know Nintendo well enough. They are stoically sticking to their motto that gameplay is better than graphics.
Don't get disheartened too much anyway - you've all seen the Metroid Prime 3 teaser, and it looked great. Resident Evil 4 ran best on the Gamecube, and is still one of the nicest-looking games of the year. Just double the quality of that for a idea of the Revolution, and add in precision FPS aiming with the controller. That's why you're still holding out for the system (and the fact that the components come to a price of around AUD$200 - so much more affordable).
