Sony Announces Extras for PS3 Aussie Release
PS3

Sony has announced today a couple of minor extras for the PS3 launch here in Australia on March 23rd. They've announced that the first 20,000 users to register their Playstation 3 will receive a copy of Casino Royale (no mention of whether this will simply be a DVD or Blu-ray edition).
Also available will be a free download of Gran Turismo HD from the Playstation Network, featuring one track and a handful of cars. This has been available in Japan for a while.
Sliced Comments: Really no news here and Sony needs to do much more to offset that large $999 price-tag down here. Gran Turismo HD has been available in Japan for a free download since last year, and gamers will still have to wait until until at least mid-2008 here to play the whole new game - Gran Turismo 5. GTHD offers only 1 track and 10 cars, little more than a demo.
You can also look at it this way - assuming a RRP of around $35AUD for Casino Royale, that's a whopping 3.5% "saving" on the console, when elsewhere the PS3 is available for some 20% cheaper than Australia. No exciting enticement with this announcement.
