Sony Claims PS3 Sells Over 20,000 Units in 3 Days
PS3

Well, it certainly seems like a lot of us should be eating our words, with the news from Sony that the PlayStation 3 has sold over 20,000 units since its launch last Friday.
TheAge.com.au is reporting that Sony has announced they have not only sold over 20,000 units, but have made $25 million total from anything to do with the PS3 (hardware, software, etc). Official figures from GfK should be out later this week.
This news comes after the less than encouraging launch parties that were held around the countries, with many seeing the launch as a somewhat muted affair. However, the Nintendo Wii still holds the record for the highest amount of stock moved for a launch period (32,901 units in four days). The 360 also had a better launch than the PS3, moving 30,421 systems in four days.
Better luck next time, Sony.
