Sony To Invest 300 Billion Yen Into CELL Semiconductors

Its has been revealed that Sony are set to spend at least 300 billion yen into developing, testing and making its CELL semiconductors, an integral feature of future Playstations.
Sony will also debut a new Clie PDA which will rely heavily upon semiconductor expertise.
Sony also announced details of a 500 billion yen investment plan for chips over the next three years, in which 200 yen will be dedicated to its CELL technologies. The plan could increase in dedicates costs depending on the sales of the Playstation 2.
