Test Drive Unlimited Hits a New Price
Xbox 360
21st July 2006, 9:15am

Test Drive Unlimited will ship with 90 vehicles, one thousand miles (1600km) of open road in Hawaii, and will be playable both online and offline. Players can race in a large number of different missions, races, and tournaments in an open ended world. Online, players can challenge other players, trade cars, and chat to other racers.
From the press release: 'Innovation should be available to everyone, not a privilege for those can afford high price tags,' said Bruno Bonnell, Chairman, CEO and Chief Creative Officer of Atari. 'Our GamersFirst program demonstrated the positive impact of flexibility in pricing. We believe it is our mission to deliver triple-A games that are accessible to the masses. As such, we are offering Test Drive Unlimited - a game that is being positively touted and recognized by the media - for $39.95, and furthermore, will continue users' experiences past launch by featuring new cars and free music for download.'
Let's hope we also see the cheaper price down here. You can view more information about the game on the Test Drive Unlimited website.
Sliced Comments: Looking like an all encompassing game for the racing fan which might keep you busy for months. The breadth and openness of the game should be something to experience. It should be the way of the future for the genre I think.
