Not content to simply release the best co-op experience of the year, Valve have just released an update to their other popular online shooter, Team Fortress 2.

The highlights include the ability for engineers to build dispensers and teleporters to level 3 and for Spies to recharge their cloaking device by picking up ammo and health kits. Other additions include smoke coming from a Soldier's feet during a rocket jump and the fact that a Demoman's stickies can be destroyed by ballistic weapons (shotguns, pistols, etc).

The full update list can be read here.

In other news, those unlucky 360-owning plebs will soon be seeing all the TF2 content updates in the form of one large update to be made available on the X-Box Live Marketplace as DLC. No date as yet, but you can read the blog post here.

Also revealed was the fact that the Scout will see the next update, and that these updates to the Engineer and the Spy do not replace full class updates which are due Thursday.

I hope no one here bought it for PS3. The spy thing will be helpful, I hate standing around waiting for cloak to recharge.

Lot of people bitching that demo's are OP lately. I don't really agree but it can get kind of annoying as a scout or engie trying to get somewhere and there is a lot of stickies around. Just put your stickies where people can't see.

That was supposed to be the point in the first place, stickies weren't meant to be used offensively.

I still chuckle when people rage at the Pyro being overpowered. Sure, it's an easy class to play, but a good pyro can make people RAAAGE like nothing else. He's not overpowered unless you're in range of hmi, which is about three meters, and if you're that close to a Pyro you've either been ambushed (the way the Pyro is supposed to be played) or YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG.

I was a little disappointed with the way the upgraded dispensers look.
