Thanks For The Revolution
Wii
23rd January 2006, 7:28pm

Iwata is determined to have Revolution in U.S. stores first, with other markets following soon after. This timeframe was picked due to retailer (and presumably, consumer) support. Nintendo previously asserted that their machine would be cheaper than Microsoft's lowest-priced Xbox 360 Core Bundle, which currently sells at an RRP of US$299.99.
On a side note, Pacific Crest Securities analyst Evan Wilson has predicte Sony's PlayStation 3 will release in the U.S. in "November" with 1 million units available - three times more than the number of Xbox 360s that were available at its own launch. Wilson has suggested that the PS3 would hit Japan in (northern hemisphere) Summer '06, while Europe (and thus possibly Australia) would see the system in March 2007.
