Sony have just announced that the new PSP firmware, 4.00 is not far off. Interestingly, the firmware adds Google's internet search directly into the PSP's XMB (Xross Media Bar) interface. This new feature is promised to return the same search results that you'd get if you used the actual site. Conveniently, there will also be a search history recall of up to 20 items.

A more minor addition is the ability to change viewing speed when playing back videos stored on your Memory Stick, so you can speed up or slow down whatever you're watching. To engage this feature, all you'll have to do is press up or down on the D-Pad during playback.
