THQ Announces International Management Appointments
Ian Curran, previously Managing Director of THQ UK, has been promoted to the newly created position of Vice President, European Publishing. In this role, Curran will oversee the company's expanding European operations including offices in England, Germany and France. Since joining THQ in late 2000, Curran has played a key role in growing the company's international revenues to more than 25% of its global sales.
In his new role as Vice President, Asia-Pacific Publishing, Martin Good will continue to develop THQ's opportunities across this region. Having joined THQ as General Manager of THQ's Australia and New Zealand operations in early 2000, Good's responsibilities quickly expanded to include the Asian markets where he began to cultivate distribution opportunities, opening a Korean office in early 2003.
"As the installed base of the current generation of hardware increases across the globe, we see a significant opportunity to further grow our international businesses, particularly across Europe and the Asia-Pacific regions," said Eric Doctorow, Chief Operating Officer, THQ. "Both Ian and Martin are seasoned executives who have been instrumental to THQ's international success and we anticipate even greater results in their new roles."
