THQ To Acquire Relic Entertainment

THQ has announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire PC development studios Relic Entertainment. Relic developers of the upcoming RTS game Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War. Before the acquisition a partnership already had been formed with a multi-year publishing deal between THQ and Relic Entertainment including Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War. This acquisition helps THQ strive to keep and improve to be a leading publisher which is part of their strategy to acquire development studios with proven ability to create high quality products.
