Tim and Chris Stamper Depart from Rare
Xbox 360
4th January 2007, 10:29am

After twenty years and countless software hits, co-founders of Rare Tim and Chris Stamper have left the company to pursue "other opportunities". To take their position as creative director, Gregg Mayles has stepped up to the plate.
The Stamper brothers co-founded Rare with Joel Hochberg over 20 years ago. The brothers have been responsible for shaping the unique company that exists today.
Sliced Comment: Of course, Rare fans are fairly used to seeing people drop out of Rare ever since the Goldeneye days, but I doubt any of us (yes, I am a Rare fan) thought that the brothers would end up leaving to pursue other interests. Here's hoping that Rare can pull themselves up past their recent commercial failures. To Tim and Chris: good luck!
