Navarre Corporation and Encore, its majority-owned subsidiary, today announced that Encore has signed an exclusive, worldwide agreement with Victory Simulations to publish Redline: Xtreme Air Racing 2, a unique combination of flight sim and combat air racing for PCs. Under this agreement, Encore is managing sales, distribution and marketing for the game, while Victory Simulations, a leading developer in flight simulation software for over a decade, is delivering the content. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Redline: Xtreme Air Racing 2 is the latest version of Xtreme Air Racing, which debuted in June 2002. That game was widely acclaimed for its ground-breaking graphics, exciting gameplay and realistic flight simulations. This new version -- sanctioned by the Reno Air Racing Association -- features 50 new aircraft (bringing the total to over 70), improved special effects, additional levels in exotic locations around the world, and the ability to have air combat during the race. Another unique feature of this version of the game is the ability for players to import their own faces to be the pilots, as well as customizing the aircraft with their own artwork. "This agreement is testimony to the continued success of Encore's Third-Party Publishing Program, which offers publishers a wide range of sales, marketing and distribution services. Victory's Redline: Xtreme Air Racing 2 is a unique game that can truly benefit from Encore's publishing expertise."
