VP of Entertainment Resigns from Microsoft
Xbox 360

In some rather surprising news, Microsoft has announced that its Vice President of its interactive entertainment department, Peter Moore, will be resigning from the company.
More surprising still is the news that Moore has taken up the position as head of EA Sports, a position that will see him dealing with his former rivals.
"Peter has contributed enormously to the games business since joining Microsoft in 2003 and we are sad to see him go," said Robbie Bach, over at Microsoft. "Since that time, he presided over the global launch of the Xbox 360, spearheaded a revitalized and rebranded Games for Windows business, and helped steer the console's ascent."
Rumours that his resignation comes as a result of the massive Xbox 360 repair scheme were quickly disregard as "completely and utterly unrelated", with Moore himself going on record to say that the move was "purely about my family".
In even more surprising news, Don Mattrick will take over from Moore's role as VP. Don Mattrick came onboard the Microsoft bandwagon after a tenure as President of Electronic Arts.
