Welcome to the first weekly wrap up, where we take a look at what has happened in the past week in the gaming world and on Gamebiz. This is just a small part of what is covered on Gamebiz over the week so feel free to have a look around and join us in the forums.
General News
The Academy of Interactive Arts and Science held their 7th Annual Interactive Achievement Awards, in which EA and Ubisoft picked up 11 and 9 awards respectively. In other Ubisoft news, they recently acquired the developer of Shadowbane, Wolfpack Studios. While Sammy Studios announced that the TVs The Shield will be making its way onto TV screens in a different fashion. Infinium Labs announced that it will demonstrate its Phantom console at their E3 booth. During the week NVIDIA announced a new graphic solutions using Graphics Double Data Rate 3 memory. While the people at Tecmo and Xbox announced a global Ninja Gaiden competition.
Demos & Trailers Galore
This week we have had a couple of new demos being available to download. Both on PC, one came from Digital Jesters in their upcoming game Desert Rats vs. Afrika Korps and the other came from Larian Studios in their game Beyond Divinity.
On the trailer front we received one for the game Men of Valor
Go For Gold
Go for gold is where we list what games announced that they have gone gold. This week we had several games that went gold. Rainbow six 3 for the PS2 fitted this category this week along with UT 2004 and Nemesis Of The Roman Empire on the PC.

Some of big stories that have created discussion or big industry news have been covered. Big news this week was the slip of No xbox 2 hard drive that was let out by one of the proposed memory partners. This has created quite a discussion in the forums, whether it is a good or bad thing. You too can put your view across in the forum here. The second big story is from Sony with a growth of 239% in online gaming in one year
