Wii climbs a Cursed Mountain
Wii

Deep Silver today announced Cursed Mountain, a new title for the Nintendo Wii. Targeted at the adult market, Cursed Mountain is a horror game set in the Himalayas and follows the adventure of a "fearless mountaineer on a quest to find his lost brother."
Cursed Mountain is also set in the 1980s. While this would be horrifying enough for most, there is also a curse to deal with, as the deceased inhabitants of the mountain are trapped in limbo, unable to reincarnate. Quoted from the press release:
"With a fresh setting, gloomy atmosphere and the innovative use of the Wii controls, Cursed Mountain will deliver a unique, terrifying game play experience," said Hannes Seifert, Managing Director at the Deep Silver development studio. "Deep Silver is confident that Cursed Mountain will help to further establish our international presence, and help expand the survival horror game genre on the Wii platform."
Other than that, there's not a lot to go on. There's a website that has nothing on it (at the moment) and a few details from the press release, such as the claim that the entire game world will be visible from every level and that, perhaps most horrifying of all, the game will make extensive use of motion controls.
This title has piqued my curiosity, and it's one I'll be keeping an eye on. It's not like I'm busy actually playing anything on the Wii at the moment...

Here's hoping it can reach the lofty peaks of Escape from Bug Island.
