Wii Music Details
Wii

Wii Music! Guess what it's about?! Yes, it's been floating about for a few years, but it looks like the game has finally found a focus and is nearing release. Up to four people can simultaneously play from a wide range of instruments (over sixty) by making simple motions, like strumming or drumming. You're free to improvise during your "jams" by playing faster or slower, skipping beats or whatever. The game automatically translates that into an impressive solo, live. Nunchuk use is supported, and we imagine that MotionPlus is too.
The game lets you play the different tracks in various different styles, from rock and jazz to classical or Latin. You can record your performances and send them to people who have the game, who can then improv over the top of your recording and send it back to you. Of course, you can expect a myriad of flashy modes that let you revel in your musical genius through explosions and dramatic camera angles.
The orchestra mode that was the original demo of the game has made the cut, letting you conduct with a wave of the Wii remote. There's also a handbells game involving the nunchuk, a tone quiz that tests your musical ear, and Balance Board compatibility to teach you how to play a virtual drum with your feet, Wii remote and nunchuk. You have to admit, that last one's pretty cool.
We've got a trailer showing off some of these modes, a stack of screens, the logo and a bunch of those cringe-inducing "lifestyle shots" of people playing the game. You're spoilt for choice.

I'll get right on to this...as soon as I get a new Kid Icarus or Punch Out you granny loving bastards! Hey Nintendo, I'm building a new PC. I'd sell my Wii to pay for parts, but no one wants one, except my girlfriend, who uses it for Wii Fit, so now I'm not allowed.
