Wii sells 325,000 consoles in 2 days in Europe
Wii

During the first 2 days in Europe, 325,000 Wii consoles were sold, making it the fastest selling console in Europe ever. Many stores have sold out of the system already, although new shipments are on their way to many stores.
Similar to Australia - Zelda: Twilight Princess was the big hit, with some 74% of gamers purchasing the game with their console. Wii Play with the extra Wii-mote also did well, selling to 50% of purchasers of the console.
Nintendo's other key seller, the Nintendo DS, also sold in record numbers last week, with some 515,000 consoles sold. Over 8.5 million DS have now been sold since its launch in March 200.
Sliced Comments: With this sort of success worldwide, let's hope that we see a lot more number one titles appearing on the system next year from multiple publishers. With the support base the Wii has created already, publishers and developers would be crazy to ignore the ground-swell that Nintendo has achieved.
