Wii U Demo Videos Not Actually Running on Wii U
Hardware

Well, this is a bit of a downer: turns out the videos showing Darksiders II, Alien: Colonial Marine, etc, weren't actually captured from Wii U hardware. Reggie Fils-Aime, in an interview with Gametrailers.com, blatantly stated that the videos were captured from the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the games.
You can listen to the audio here.

Not that big of a surprise, I guess. Couldn't be that different though - the bird video must have been real and it was similar quality.
That's dumb though.. I know it's usually the case with other consoles, but showing a title off on dev hardware vs the final production item is always bound to piss many off.

Yeah, I thought that would be pretty clear? If they haven't got any of their own demos, too.

I guess you have a point there. It's still disappointing though, I'd hoped that development would be further along by now.
It is a next year console, though. And remember, for the first time in a long while developers can just PORT! Mental.
