Microsoft Australia has announced that they are set to release an Xbox 360 Kinect bundle on November 18th. It includes the slim Xbox 360 with 250gb hard drive, a Kinect Sensor, and "Kinect Adventures" for a RRP of AUD$549.

More of the Kinect will be shown in action at the Tokyo Games Show.

Some 15 games will apparently be available on release of the Kinect.

Might be into this sometime in the future - just 'cause I wouldn't mind the slim xbox, but it's not a huge deal for me. There's really nothing that makes me want Kinect yet.

Yeah. Might be able to get a good priced one second hand sometime, maybe after christmas. Or when there are some decent games. Who knows?

I'm unsure on the Kinect at all at this point in general, most reports so far from testers don't seem that exciting, and with the double cost of it's nearest competitor (or another $250 over a Wii).. At that price you'd be wanting to make sure it was going to have A-Grade titles available for it, and the feeling you were missing out on something major by not having one. I can see a few price drops before it even becomes interesting to a lot of people.

I think the PS3 Move has the smarter option with it's $100 entry point, even if it's not quite as revolutionary.

Not everybody has the choice, but I'm leaning towards the Move to be honest. If it sucks, well can't say I'll be itching to spend even more for the Kinect.

"I finally got my hands on Sony’s PlayStation Move controller in Sydney yesterday, and it is truly an impressive piece of technology."

I stopped reading there....

Maybe it is? But how would you know whether they're puffing or not really!

All reports I've read, from both sites and people, have said that the Move is great but the launch titles are slightly underwhelming (Sports Champions seems popular though). I'm tempted to grab a set of Move + Nav controllers, but there's no rush really.

Got the starter kit and Start the Party from Target today, and my friend was working so he gave me 10% off. Ended up being like 115 or so for both. Not a bad entry price I reckon. The gadget is cool, start the party is pretty shithouse but it's a nice way to show off the tech. There are only like 10 mini games on it though and like two options to play so yeah... if it wasn't a launch title they'd probably get in shit for charging more than 20 bucks for it. If that

I'll give the demos a go tomorrow I guess, see if anythings alright. I'm sure in the future there'll be something worth getting.

I'll wait till FPS/RPGs are supported before I get one I think. My mate has a Wii, that'll do till then.

Yeah.  Nothing really compelled me to get it apart from the fact it'd be more of a pain to get it at that price for a while, I thought.

I'm sure somethingggggg decent will come out soon.

I picked up a couple of Move controllers and Sports Champions on Friday! The game is actually pretty good, like a far more accurate, HD version of Wii Sport. The controllers work really well, and are rechargeable just like regular PS3 controllers, which gives them a one-up over the Wii Remote even there. Me and my Dad had some great games of table tennis.

I realise you probably mean Wii remotes aren't innately rechargable, a pack must be bought - but surely the epicness that is the Wii Recharge Pad makes up that.

I mean.....it charges your controller just by sitting it on top of the pad - I couldn't even find any terminals or metal connections to explain it.

SORCERY I SAY!

But what makes the metal inductive? Magic, I say!

Just spent the last 30mins reading up on resonant inductive coupling - I can't believe there wasn't more talk about this, it's bloody impressive!

My magnetic induction charging pad stopped working. Or at least, all the battery packs did. And now I have a bunch of useless battery packs and a silly pad.

Was great while it lasted.

just saw the price of kinect at jbhifi - $194 inc game.
hows can they justify that when its $150 in the us, the aussie dollar was above/still is almost, at parity with the us dollar, and its cheaper to ship things here from china!
rip off

Then don't buy it. I won't be until it comes bundled with an AAA title for under $200
