Xbox And Playstation 2 Price Cuts

Sony and Microsoft announced today that they are planning to cut their consoles to a RRP of $329.
Sony Computer Entertainment managing director Michael Ephraim said "Local market conditions have allowed us to facilitate more affordable prices in Australia".
According to Phil Burnham, research director of Inform, The Playstation 2 is only outselling Microsofts Xbox at a ratio of 1.5 to 1. This is a dramatic change from the mid-february figures, where the ration was 3 to 1.
