Xbox Live cuts movie loop-hole
Xbox 360

Microsoft has said they are starting to introduce measures to stop international players being able to download movie and television content from the Xbox Live Video Marketplace. A workaround has existed since the launch 2 weeks ago, which has allowed users to create a new Live user for a region with an overseas address listed. This has allowed them to download the new HD and SD video content available through Live, which is currently only supposed to be available to United States users.
Microsoft plans to stop this by validating the address of the credit card to the address of the player. Essentially this means that unless you have a credit card with a US based address, you will be unable to download the Live Video Marketplace content.
Microsoft plans to role out the service in other regions, but no time-frame for Australia at this point.
